Anytime I find out someone is heading to Austin and looking for kid-friendly Austin restaurants, I tell them to check out Brentwood Social House! An old Austin home converted into a coffee shop, it has everything you need for a fun family outing!

Their outdoor area is great, with a covered patio for mom and dad and a fun ship-themed playground for the kids! They have plenty of kid-friendly food options, including kid plates and snacks as well as a variety of coffee and pastry offerings! They also offer Charcuterie boards and wine which makes it a great stop in the evening!

The restaurant is located in the Brentwood neighborhood in Austin, and it's open seven days a week, making it easy to plan a visit. With its delicious food, drinks, friendly atmosphere, and dog-friendly policy, Brentwood Social House is a great spot for casual and social dining in Austin and is the perfect kid-friendly restaurant with a playground!

Hat Creek Burger in The Domain is a popular spot in Austin, Texas known for its delicious burgers, fries, and shakes. The restaurant offers a casual and laid-back atmosphere that is perfect for families, and it's located in the upscale shopping, dining and entertainment district of The Domain.

This is one of our kids favorite kid-friendly Austin restaurants! It makes for a perfect break if you’re shopping in the domain and the covered patio makes it a great place to stop, even in the summer! There are multiple Hat Creek locations, so you can pick the one that is most convenient to you!

It’s worth noting that they also offer great breakfast options, making it a perfect go-to for a Saturday morning outing that everyone will enjoy! According to our kids, this is one of the best Austin playgrounds which is great for us since we can enjoy a good burger while they play!

Austin Restaurant With a Playground : Aviator Pizza

Aviator Pizza is a great kid-friendly restaurant with a playground in Austin! They have a wide variety of hand-tossed pizzas to choose from, including classic options like Margherita, pepperoni, and sausage, as well as unique and creative options like the BBQ chicken, the Mediterranean and the Aviator Special. They also have a selection of salads, appetizers, and sandwiches that change seasonally. And they have a rotating selection of local and regional beers, as well as wine and cocktails.

Their playground area is spacious and shaded! The playground itself is pretty tall and may not be great for young toddlers, but there is enough of a natural play area surrounding the playground, that we still think it’s great for all ages! This is a great stop if you’re looking for a kid friendly restaurant with a playground that is in North Austin!

Austin Restaurant With a Playground: Central Market North Lamar

The playground at this Central Market is always a hit with kids! It’s big enough to keep older kids entertained but has plenty of accessible areas for younger kids as well! It’s partially shaded and has tons of seating nearby. You can bring your own food or grab something pre-made in Central Market! We would often bring our own lunch and then let the kids pick out a cookie or pastry inside!

The playground is also right next to a pond with a trail around it! We can easily spend an entire morning or afternoon at this kid-friendly Austin restaurant with so many things to keep the kids entertained!

Austin Restaurant With a Playground: Kerbey Lane Cafe - Round Rock

If you’re already in North Austin or don’t mind driving to North Austin, Kerbey Lane is a great kid-friendly Austin restaurant with a playground! Kerbey Lane is s known for its delicious breakfast, brunch, and Tex-Mex cuisine. The restaurant offers a casual and laid-back atmosphere that is perfect for families, friends, and groups.

They have many locations around the city but the Round Rock location offers lots of space and an outdoor playground! One of our favorite things about Kerbey Lane is how easy it is to get in line online! When going to a restaurant with young kids, it’s so nice to know we won’t waste time waiting in line. We walk up, get seated, eat delicious food and then let the kids play. If you sit on their covered patio, you can even get away with letting the kids play while you eat! This is a great kid-friendly Austin area restaurant choice.
